About Coastersstats

Coastersstats is a personal tracking application for roller coaster enthusiasts. It allows users to log their rides, track their credits, and visualize their statistics. Coastersstats is an independent project with no affiliation to any theme park, manufacturer, or other commercial entity.

Data We Collect

• Username and email address
• Profile picture (if provided)
• Your ride history and visit data
• IP address (for security purposes)

How We Use Your Data

• Purpose: Account management, service delivery, and platform security
• Legal basis: Contract execution and legitimate interest

Data Retention

Your data is retained until you delete your account. After account deletion, all personal data is permanently removed.

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Request deletion of your data

• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Belgium: APD)

Third-Party Services

To provide the best user experience, Coastersstats uses the following external services:

• Google Fonts: Typography (Inter font). Google may collect your IP address. Privacy Policy
• CDN Services: Libraries (Chart.js, Font Awesome, Flatpickr) hosted on jsDelivr and Cloudflare CDN for performance
• Esri (ArcGIS Online): Map tiles for location features. Privacy Policy
• Coasterpedia: Coaster images and data under CC BY-SA. Website
• YouTube: Some coaster pages show a video from Coasterpedia's page, embedded from YouTube on request and credited to its author. Video thumbnails are served by YouTube and remain the property of their uploaders; we never copy or host them.

These services are necessary for the proper functioning of the website and are loaded without requiring additional consent.

Usage Rules

By using Coastersstats, you agree to:

• Maintain only one account per person
• Provide accurate information about your rides and visits
• Respect other users and maintain appropriate conduct
• Not attempt to scrape, copy, or extract data from the platform
• Not attempt to circumvent security measures or access restrictions

We reserve the right to moderate content and suspend accounts that violate these rules.

Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of any content you upload (such as profile pictures). By uploading content, you grant Coastersstats a non-exclusive license to display this content on the platform.

Photos attached to an error report on a coaster page are an exception: by ticking the consent box, you publish them under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence (CC BY 4.0), credited to your username, so that they can be used on Coasterpedia and Coastersstats. They are stored as sent, with their metadata (date, camera, location if recorded). Only send photos you took yourself.

The same applies to any text you publish on the platform — tier list titles, themes and tier names, notes, your pseudo. You are responsible for it: it must not be offensive, defamatory, hateful or unlawful. Anyone can report a shared tier list; Coastersstats may make such content private, remove it or suspend the account that published it, without notice. Opinions expressed in a member's tier list are the member's own, not Coastersstats'.

Coaster data (names, specifications, images) is sourced from Coasterpedia and licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA). Individual images may carry their own licenses, indicated in their credits.

Coastersstats is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any information displayed on the platform. Coaster specifications and park information may be subject to change.

Applicable Law

These terms and conditions are governed by Belgian law. Any disputes arising from the use of this platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Belgian courts.
