CS Ranking

How members rank the world's coasters and parks, and how to read it.

Open CS Ranking

What it is

The CS Ranking is how the members of Coastersstats rank the world's coasters and parks. It is built from opinions, not from specs: for every pair of coasters, each member who knows both votes for the one they prefer (their duels first, their star rating otherwise) and the pair goes to the majority. A coaster's score is the share of pairs it wins; it enters the ranking once 3 members have an opinion on it. Recomputed once a day.

The pages

Top coasters / Top parks: the full rankings, 50 per page, with a search box and a « Mine » column. A park's score is the average of its ranked coasters; a park needs 3 ranked coasters to be ranked. Add ?date=YYYY-MM-DD to read the ranking as it stood on a past day.

Coasters race / Parks race: the top 20 replayed day after day. See Races.

How it works: the method in full, with the thresholds in force.

Where it shows up

  • Coaster page: the « CS Rank » KPI with the number of voters, « Not ranked yet » under the threshold, and the « CS Ranking over time » tile (one point per day, your own duel rank next to it).
  • Park page: the « CS Ranking » KPI and the same history tile.
  • Me › Records › Rankings: your credits and your parks by CS Rank, with their move over the last 7 days.
  • Without an account: the public page shows the top 25 coasters and parks, and the data is available to developers as a JSON API, with a key on request.
