Duels
Duels & CS Score
Play, My Ranking and History: your personal ranking, one duel at a time.
Overview
Ranking coasters 1 to 300 by hand is impossible; picking a winner between two is easy. The duel arena shows two coasters you have ridden, you vote, their CS Scores move, and duel after duel a personal ranking emerges that really reflects your taste. The Duels menu has four entries, described below.
How it works
- CS Score: a rating in the spirit of chess ratings. Every coaster starts around 1500; beating a stronger opponent earns more points than beating a weaker one.
- Initialize: your credits are seeded once into the arena; then the duels do the talking. New credits join automatically.
- Vote: pick the coaster you would rather ride again. No draws: trust your gut.
- Replay: changed your mind? Any duel from your history can be replayed; your scores are recomputed from the whole history.
The pages
Play: the arena: two coasters with their photo and key specs face off. A new matchup loads after each vote.
My Ranking: your full leaderboard by CS Score, with top, lowest and average scores, and a tier list computed from your scores (S to D). A « Make your own tier list » link leads to the hand-made tier lists under Me.
My Races: your top 20 by CS Score replayed duel after duel (and a park version). See the Races page.
History: every duel you fought, searchable by coaster, with one-click replay.
Where your duels show up
- Coaster page: its position in your ranking (#12 / 300), its CS Score and the « Your CS Score over time » tile (one point per duel).
- Me › Records › Profile: the Tier Distribution tile.
- CS Ranking: your duels are your opinion in the community ranking (your star rating is used for coasters you never dueled).
